TLK's self-titled debut album is the result of classic punk rock influences (Misfits, Ramones, Bad Religion, NOFX and Rancid to name a few), occasionally combined with undertones borrowed from other genres. Marco's gritty voice and his predilection for melodic sing-alongs meet Matteo's softer tones and his taste for darker music, while Nanà's relentless drumming sets the pace of the whole journey. The lyrics are a mix of irony and depression, apathy and anger: over the years the band turned their bad thoughts, their sadness and their discontent into catchy melodies and assertive beats, playing on the thin line between desperation and elation.
